Cindy Brawand, EPDH, donated her expertise for the seventh consecutive year to Community Homeless Connect.  Overall, the dental providers donated $20,855 in dentistry services.  Capitol Dental Care, Willamette Dental, and ENDS also contributed to the event by supplying volunteers, materials, portable dental chairs, and coordinating services.

Community Homeless Connect is a one day resource fair focused to connect our homeless neighbors and those at risk of becoming homeless. Services include medical care, cutting hair, serving food, and more.

Community Homeless Connect, currently in its sixth year of operation, is a one day resource fair focused to connect our homeless neighbors and those at risk of becoming homeless. Services provided include medical care, haircuts, food serving, and more.

Cindy Brawand (shown in the photo below, center), EPDH donated her expertise for the fifth consecutive year, seeing 15 of the 45 total that were treated. Capitol Dental Care, Willamette Dental and ENDS also contributed to the event in the supplying of volunteers, materials, portable dental chairs and coordinating services. Overall the dental providers donated over $21,233 in dentistry services.

Third Annual Provider Workshop

E.N.D.S.’ providers gathered for the Third Annual Provider Workshop and C.E. training.

Grant Stockton of Brisbee & Stockton, LLC spoke concerning the importance of documentation in regards to practices and procedures. Dr. Sean Benson of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the OHSU School of Dentistry discussed sedation versus general anesthesia with special needs patients.

Deborah Loy highlighted E.N.D.S.’ accomplishments over the past year and projects for the future. Lori Killen Aus spoke about the immense impact that collaboration can have with EPPs.  Sandy Nelson’s presentation focused on taking a break from technology to enjoy life.  In closing, Taylor Giles showed the Oregon Mobile Dentistry model and the technological challenges that are faced in the mobile field.
